Zaatar Salmon Steak Dinner

Quick and easy Zaatar Salmon Steak

Literally you can make this healthy dinner in 15 mins. Salmon is rich in Omega 3 and Zaatar is known to have lot of health benefits too. So enjoy this nutritious home cooked meal without any guilt!

Serves - 2

Spice level - Mild.

Cooking time -15 mins

Ingredients:

Items Quantity
Salmon fillets

250 g

or about

2 in numbers 

Time to Thyme

Zaatar Seasoning

 2 tbsp.
Salt 1/4 tbsp.
Garlic 2 cloves
Oil 3 tbsp.

Butter

1 tbsp.

 

Prep:

Season the Salmon Fillets with the skin generously with Zaatar and salt as per liking on all the sides and let it rest for 10 mins.

Give the garlic a quick smack on the head.

Fry:

  1. Heat a pan and add 3 tbsp of your favorite oil
  2. Now add the seasoned salmon skin side down and let it fry for 30 seconds till the sizzle subsides (don't let it stick to the pan).
  3. Quickly flip the salmon and fry the other side for 30 seconds till you get a nice sear on both sides.
  4. Once see a nice sear reduce the flame and fry both the sides till it changes color evenly about 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add your garlic and butter and baste the salmon on all sides.
  6. Let it set aside for a minute and lightly season again with more zaatar.

Enjoy with some sauteed or boiled veggies or salad.
